The new equipment is mainly wood based which is softer to touch and does heat up in summer in the same way as metal. The playground is aimed at children 10 years and younger with all the equipment being safe and fun for them while their parents can supervise. There are grassed areas and benches within the playground space that is fenced so parents can watch their children or have picnics without dogs roaming into the park. The design  was selected by Members at one of our Annual General  Meetings.

The equipment is inspected twice a year by the supplier's RPII qualified personnel, who carry out minor repairs at the same time. An annual inspection also takes place by an independent RPII qualified inspector to ROSPA standards. Reports are prepared in each case and quotations are provided for any remedial work required.
